Irish Stout Pot Pie

March 14, 2017 by darcibos Leave a Comment

My family loves a good pot pie. If you can get yourself a basic base for pot pie, you can turn it into any flavored pie you want. I am constantly taking my chicken pot pie recipe and tweaking it for several different kinds. Today I have for you a “Luck of the Irish” Stout Pot Pie!

Also, if you have yourself a good crust recipe you can always use it for sweet or savory! No joke, this is my Apply Pie crust, just brushed with cream rather that topped with cinnamon and sugar. But you can also use a store bought as well, especially if you are in a hurry or don’t trust yourself making crust from scratch.

For “Pi” Day This Classic Recipe Makes A Big Comeback

March 14, 2015 by Darci Bos Leave a Comment

I have so many fun things to talk about today. First of all its “π”  Day!! 3.14 get it? Haha. Who doesn’t love a good ‘ole classic Apple Pie recipe? It is by far one of my favorite types of pie of all time. So for “π” Day I am showing off my award winning Blue Ribbon recipe.

Folks, take a look back at on older post where I talk about where the recipe originates from and how I won my first blue ribbon. You guys will see that there really isn’t anything different or unique about this recipe, I didn’t add any weird ingredients or decorate it all fancy, its just a perfectly delicious apple pie. I even placed top 6 in the Tennessee State Fair where over 80 people entered! So as you can see, a classic recipe can still wow tastebuds even with todays popular reinvented pies.

Some other fun news…I have gotten the incredible opportunity to guest blog every other weekend for Intersection Coaching’s “Sweet Saturday”! I met Ali when we were on The Today Show together and she has been so sweet to let me be a part of what she is doing.  She also has some other delicious recipes as well as healthy advice and tips! So get on over there today to find my post on Paleo Lemon Bars.

Lemon Side Focus

Yes, you read that right, I said Paleo! I was surprised at how good something healthy could taste, better yet? The bars are NO-BAKE! So for all of my viewers/followers who have been wanting some heathy desserts, head on over to her page. Also, Ali has a fantastic book out right now called Bowls of Love: Paleo Soups for the Seasons and guess what? With my code BAKE&STYLE you will receive 10% off any order! Such a great deal! The book is so beautiful and her soups are so delicious.

So with all of this fun news please go follow my new friend on Facebook at Intersection Coaching and also her blog that I mentioned earlier. You will be able to follow my “Sweet Saturday” posts and all of her other healthy and Paleo options as well.

So, Happy “π” Day! No matter how you celebrate, whether with this classic Apple Pie recipe, or with a Paleo full flavored lemon bar, just celebrate and be who you are.
